Gentleman, what a crazy week 5. We saw records broken, choke jobs and lots of trades. This is the most competitive the league has ever been in my opinion and its a great thing to see. The biggest story line right now is the playoff spots of 5 and 6. With 5 through 9 being tied and 10th place tanker only being a game back is actually a crazy thing to see as usually you will see the top 6 usually known by now with some teams in 7 or 8 try and figure out if they want to tank, but there is no way to tell. The only thing we know at this point is who the number one team is right now.
I would like to come out and say Congrats to Erik on breaking a the points scoring record on an incredible performance in week 5. I would also like to say my condolences to Rob’s probably Purple ass hole as Erik shoved that pre girlfriend cock right up his ass and told him RELEASE ME.
One thing I want to say before we dive into these trade reviews as well as these power rankings is now that we are a 3rd of the way through the season. I want to try and find a ways to make things for exciting when it comes to the blog, website, tcr. With LODPEDIA coming soon a project that will keep track of this leagues history. There will also be a hall of records that I am currently working on that will keep track of historic weeks like this last week and Top players, Best trades, worst trades and worst loss. To give a taste, everyone remembers the loss Ant took last year on a stat correction from an IDP. That’s probably #1 in heart breaking loss.
Trade Grades
First trade –
Ant Receives: 5th(Chuck), 6th(Joe) 7th(Joe) 8th(Joe) and Garret Wilson
Chuck Receives: Keenan Allen
Joe Receives: Kirk Cousins, Kyren Williams and Zay Flowers
Chucks review –
Ant, what a great trade for you. Selling Kyren at a high value, do I think you couldve got more down the road. I do as I think hes league winner potential. However, with this being a waiver pick up anything you got was great. Getting Garret Wilson in return is great to. Your Grade is an A+.
Chuck, you got your guy. Keenan Allen is having a monster season and as long as healthy should finish top 5 in the position. Giving up Zay and Garret wilson is nice as you know you were willing to move devonta smith in this deal. Your Grade is an A.
Joe, It was a rough week for you injury wise to your team, so this trade made alot of sense for you especially if you are going in this year to be a contender. Kyren is a potential league winner, the vikins losing meaning Kirk just gonna throw and throw in a contract year. Zay has great potential to be a star, but only time will tell what will happen. Your grade is a B+.
Ant’s Review –
Ant, Grade: A. Got a future keeper who I traded away 2 weeks ago and picks in return.
Chuck, Grade: A. Pretty good value for another star WR on the team.
Joe, Grade B: Kyren and Kirk are gonna be solid pieces for the rest of the year. But rumors are swirling that Devonta Smith could’ve been gotten and you chose Zay Flowers instead makes this trade a lot less of a win.
Second Trade –
Wings Receives: Kenneth Walker and George Pickens
Ryan Receives: Aj Brown
Chuck’s review –
Wings, this was a very good trade for you as your Pollard trade has turned out to be pretty bad. Kenneth Walker is the work horse at the moment and if he stays healthy is a solid RB1. Pickens is a nice piece to your team as he should be a solid WR 2/3 moving forward even with the return of Diontae Johnson. Your grade is an A.
Ryan, this was a great trade for you. Losing JJettas hurts, but getting Brown as a replacement for the time being is solid. If your team stays healthy and on track then your receiving core or JJettas Brown Waddle and Olave will rival mine as top receiving core in the league down the road. Your grade is an A.
Ant’s review –
Wings, Grade A. Giving away AJ is hard, trust me. But getting back a fringe RB1 with a solid receiver to round out the team makes it easier.
Ryan, Grade: A. Stud WR who can be a winner for any week. And didn’t give away the world to make it happen.
Third trade –
Wings Receives: Sam Laporta
Ant Receives: 6th and 11th round pick
Chuck’s review –
Wings, the patience with your team this season is running low with you I see as you are one horny fuck this year. I think this was a slight overpay at the moment, but I like your spirit. I do think you shoudlve been patient with your thug tho. Your Grade is a C.
Ant, Well done. The Te position is always tricky and trading Laporta at an all time high right now was smart on your behalf. Your Grade is an A+.
Ant’s review –
Wings, Grade A. It’s a pretty good swing for the top TE so far this year. And at a pretty low cost too.
Ant, Grade: B. Prob could’ve gotten more down the line but didn’t want to risk the fall off. The best part is I don’t have to pay for Wallers rehab.
Fourth trade –
Bryan receives: Chris Godwin
Ant receives: Aj Dillion and a 7th round pick
Chuck’s Review –
Bryan, what a great trade for you. Godwin for this price was smart and Dillon coming off his best game and selling was great. If evans is missing time, godwin has shown he can be a WR1 in this league before when healthy. Your grade is an A.
Ant, I do think you sold low on this one, but fuck it. If Aaron Jones continues to miss then Dillon becomes one of those guys you trade for based on sheer volume alone. Your grade is a B.
Ant’s review –
Bryan, Trade Grade: A. Solid receiver to get to have as your flex and for not giving up multiple picks makes this a win.
Ant, Grade: B. Prob could’ve got more again but not needing to take the risk of losing value.
Fifth Trade –
Chuck Receives: Calvin Ridley and 9th(Chuck’s)
Ant Receives: 4th, 7th and 10th Round picks.
Chuck, did you overpay? Absolutely. Do I think he will finish better then what you paid for? Absolutely. Taking a gamble on mr gamble himself is sometimes what you need to do, but for now at least you can stop being a horny fuck. Your grade is a B-.
Ant, thanks for making me feel like Lena the plug and you Jason luv during this deal. Great trade. Your grade is an A+.
Ant’s Review –
Ant, Grade: A+. Can’t believe I got this done but Chuck was extra horny last night. Just what the Tank Commander needed.
Chuck, Grade: C. A complete overpay but the only reason it’s not lower than a C is because you got a guy that truly put your team over the top on paper.
Chuck’s Power Ranking –
1. Gio – this should not be a suprise at this point. You got Ryan on a bad week for his team on bye’s and injuries. You play your hardest matchup yet. The difference for you this week is this. Starting Nico Collins or Starting Zach Moss will be the deciding factor in a loss this week.
2. Chuck – You snuck by with a win last week. This team on paper is the best in the league, and I expect a break out finally this week. if not, well fuck it we ball.
3. Ryan – Losing JJettas sucks, its a big hole to fill. Not having a sure flex also sucks at the moment with Khalil herbert also out. I still think this team will perform, but gotta see what makes up for it at the moment.
4. Bryan – Bryan, great trade. Great win streak. You are definitely on a roll. Your true downfall at he moment is the depth on your bench, outside of that. This is a team to be scared of.
5. Wings – This team is lowkey dangerous. your starting RB’s are great. Depth at WR is great. Also Achanes return in a few weeks hopefully and maybe Rhamondre will figure it out on a terrible pats team. Alot of potential for this team.
6. Erik – Points record, showing signs of life. Don’t matter. Your fucked this week pal. I got something special for you. ( See group chat )
7. Rob – What a tough week for you. Dodgers L and this fantasy L. Could not be more down bad then that. I think the only thing seperating you from being a contender right now is making a trade or 2 and maybe hitting the waivers for once who knows.
8. Joe – You made some trades took some injuries and now their is things being said that you are a bad fantasy football player. From Gio specifically. Just want to see if you can recapture the fire you had from the old days where the Yugioh Video was born. You play him next week just fuel for thought.
9. Nauch – Can not believe Doubs did you like that. Like we said before. Your receiving core would be your downfall. Hopefully you get some trades done soon for some receivers. I heard ant likes to be overpaid for receivers. I would know.
10. Tank Commander – Show these kids how the tank is done.
Ant’s Power Rankings –
1. Gio: the hype train has officially left the station and its next stop is Chef Bryan. Gio is in his Best start to a year of the LOD era and he’s working his voodoo magic hard this year. If he can get through this week, Gio might run away with the first place spot
2. Ryan: while Ryan may have lost last week he took a bigger loss in losing Justin Jefferson for at least 4 games. While he’s been wheeling and dealing this week to replenish his lineup. He might be in for another tough road ahead without a true RB 2 or serviceable TE emerging this year
3. Bryan: Finally Bryan gets the respect he deserves. While a sophomore slump was anticipated from the league raver he’s actually built himself a solid team for what he had to work with. Between Puka and Raheem Mostert being top pieces in the league Bryan was able to survive without Big Mahomes games or Cooper Kupp. This teams ceiling is raising by the week
4. Chuck: I thought about this one long and hard. Chuck’s team on paper deserves to be in the top 3 but we have yet to see it perform. Because of that he drops into the 4 spot. Chuck really has built himself a super team here and has the pieces to get more guys if needed. I’m fully expecting if chuck loses this week he will be considering taking the Punjabi Curse a bit more serious.
5. Erik: What a fucking showing from Erik last week. And his team finally showed its full potential the blogger boys predicted to start the year. While I think he still needs a bonafide star to round out his team he was able to prove he can put up points with everyone in the league. But that’s gonna be tough to do if Dj Moore and Justin Fields aren’t putting up 60 burgers weekly.
6. Wings: Josh is back, but Achane will not be. Sun God will be back, but Rhamondre never showed up. Pacheco is arriving, and Waller is headed for rehab. Wings has done a great job rounding out his team and has a lot of boom potential he might need for the rest of the year and a deep playoff run.
7. Rob: No ones had it tougher than Rob this Y… nvm, I exist. But in all seriousness Rob has consistently put up big point games that just don’t come through. A tough flex situation and true RB uncertainty leaves this team in a weird place. But eventually Robs luck has to turn around.
8. Nauch: That was rough last week, really really rough. But now your RB plan has really came along and can be used for some much needed WR help. Until then the RBs and the greatest QB of all time can get you at least competitive matchups weekly.
9. Joe: As much as I’ve seen your team take a turn this week. The start to the season has been horrible. As the Tank Commander I will continue to remind you of the self inflicted wounds you caused by your keepers you decided on this year.
10. Ant: The time has come. Apparently I pay money into this league to just pretend I’m Sam Presti every 2 year.
