Gentleman, draft pick #2 is Mr. HURTAUTO draft himself. After missing last years draft and tying the worst finish of all time at 2-12, Nauch will be looking for a bounce back season. The only other team to finish at 2-12 or 2-11 are Joe 2022: 2-12, 2019 2-11 and Ant 2020: 2-11. Nauch is a vet and a champion in this league so we know the knowledge is there. Will he be able to lock in though?
This will be the 9th season for Nauch’s franchise, during that time he has achieved making playoffs 5 times including 1 championship in 2023 on a tie. Nauch is in a good spot this year with the 2nd overall pick and many options to rebuild the franchise around that are expected to be available. However, Nauch is not keeping anybody and I do think he is making a mistake on not keeping at least 1 of these 2 players.
Omarion Hampton RB LAC – ADP 18.8 – 2nd round pick
Hampton unfortunately had an injury riddled season. When he was on the field though he looked great under this essentially run first offense. Now with the addition of Mike McDaniel’s at OC I think this was the best thing possible. He catches the ball out the backfield and when on the field average 4.4 yards per carry. This Chargers team will be competing for a division title and a playoff spot and if Hampton stays healthy, with his talent he has a chance to finish as a RB1 on the year.
Malik Nabers WR NYG – ADP 25.2 – 3rd round pick
Malik Nabers is coming back from a torn acl, he is a freak of nature and should be ready by week 1. Malik Nabers is one of the best young receivers in all of football and should continue to put up WR1 numbers as long as he is healthy. Through out his career so far in 19 games he is averaging close to 11 targets a game. A giants team that should be scrappy and with the addition of Harbaugh taking over the team. Nabers should do insane damage this year as he actually has contributing pieces that will not have all the attention on him.
This is my advice for you Nauch. Based on the way keepers are and where these 2 have their ADP at. I think keeping at least one of them will make all the difference in the world. Also based off of who I think we be available at your pick I think the smart option would be to keep Omarion.
Do what you will with this info SoyNaucho, I expect a bounce back season. Go pats.
Next Blog up will be about Mr. Blue Collar Ryan Bautista. Stay tuned for the next edition of BBC.
