Gentleman, welcome back to the first blog of the year from BBC. I did not know if I would have time to do the blog this year due to life progressing, but for the things I love I will find a way to make time. This years blog will be an advanced version of fantasy focus still mixed in with the usual shenanigans. The first set of blogs will be profile pieces on each one of you based on the draft order. Lets get it boys.
First pick in the draft this year, Mr. Daniel Tipoma Alas well according to Wings. Straight from the man Sound Cloud himself its Daniel Ottoniel Alas. Sound Cloud came out and made a name for himself last year in the league and really cemented himself. He had a hot start and almost made playoffs finishing with an 8 – 6 record. Then he had a controversial moment causing a major crash out from your commissioner aka his brother. Then leading the league with 12 trades made last season. If that is not saying this man is a true degenerate I do not know what is. However, until he gets an Iphone and stops with this green bubble shit, most of the league will not respect him or his fantasy knowledge.
As we enter the revamp for keepers in this league and draft pick trading, Sound Cloud is essentially a rookie all over again. Now with the changes to keepers this year, these are the potential keepers he has on his roster. Keep in mind these are current ADPS and can change anytime before Keepers lock. So they can get higher or lower and its all based on sleeper ADP. you can view current ADP with our league scoring by just entering the draft room on the sleeper app.
Ashton Jeanty RB LV – ADP 15.4 = 2nd round pick.
Jeanty, in LOD scoring finished as running back 10 last year, which puts him as an RB1 to end the year in a 10 team league. Jeanty did have an okay year after his hype coming out of the draft. He definitely showed more receiving skills during his rookie year and showed his explosiveness while running. He is definitely surrounded by a much more improved offensive line as well as a veteran QB in Kirk Cousins taking the snaps while Fernando “I’m a nice guy” Mendoza continues to develop. I do think at his current ADP this would be a solid keeper especially with him going to be an every down back. Potential top 5 RB finish on the season.
Chase Brown RB Cin – ADP 22.2 = 3rd round pick.
Brown, in LOD scoring finished as running back 8 last year, which puts him as an RB1 to end the year in a 10 team league. Brown had a rough start to the year last year as he was expected to be elite, did not really get it going until the middle of the season as he did lose Joe burrow for most of the season. However, when Burrow came back last season in week 13, Chase brown really took off and looked the elite status he was expected to be most of the season. This however really depends on Burrow staying healthy as it showed without a competent backup QB he does not thrive. Him being a 3rd round pick ADP I think this is an absolute must lock as 1 of your keeper spots.
Tee Higgins WR Cin – ADP 35.5 = 4th round pick.
Higgins, finished as wide receiver 13 last year, putting him in WR2 to end the year in a 10 team league. Higgins had his worst points finish since his rookie season. He also had his least amount of targets and receptions ever posted in a season with 14 games or more (pre 17 games season). He did however score 11 touchdowns which is the most ever for him in a season. Now Tee has always showed the talent and shows he can be dominant. However, being along side Chase who just demands the ball. Higgins will have great games but not consistent games. I think this might be your worst possible option to have someone as a keeper as yes a 4th round ADP is nice for Tee Higgins with the other potential keepers you have, this is the one I would avoid.
5TH ROUND PICKS
Emeka Egbuka WR TB – ADP 45.8
TreVeyon Henderson RB NE – ADP 47.8
Cam Skattebo RB NYG – ADP 48.7
I kept all 3 of the rookies under one thing as you can not go wrong with any. All of them showed explosiveness last year but also all of them had injury problems. Egbuka is potentially the WR1 in a pass first offense with Mike Evans gone an Godwin having trouble staying healthy. TreVeyon is explosive and gives Achane vibes of being matchup proof except Patriots running backs are always a risk as you do not know how they are going to be used. Cam Skattebo is coming off a major injury and surgery but is doing backflips at fanatics fest and now has Harbaugh as his coach. I do think this is a can not go wrong situation here but biggest upside is literally how their ADPS are listed based off of potential boom or bust potential. However all 3 have the ability to respectfully finish top 10 at their position.
Do what you want with this information Soundcloud. I think these are your best options for keeper.
Safe bet for best finish – Jeanty and Brown
Worst – Higgins and Skattebo
Highest Ceiling – Jeanty and Egbuka
Next blog for BBC will be about 2nd overall pick Nauchaveli. stay tuned for the next blog boys. Good to be back.
