Gentleman what a wild week 9. I do not think I have ever seen Ryan Tilt so much over a fantasy matchup before and it was fantastic. Gio is back in full force but for how long? We are seeing the Wild Card factor come into play and teams are learning they are not truly out just yet. However we are starting to get to the point where teams can start clutching playoff berths and see some shake ups. These are the biggest shake ups we can see this week.
With only 5 games to go this is definitely a massive week for a lot of teams. However the big 4 to watch this week are Wings, Nauch, Erik and Gio. The reason being is Gio is currently outscoring all 3 of those teams and is currently 8th in standings but holds the wild card spot to PF. Nauch is currently 6th in standings, but holds the lowest PF of the 4. Nauch plays Ryan this week and if Nauch Loses with an Erik win, the playoffs become super slim for Nauch as Nauch has the hardest schedule to end the year as he faces the top 5 in PF currently of Ryan this week, Ant, Gio, Chuck and then Joe to end the season. Nauch is in for a tough stretch as for Erik and Wings each face Rob and Bryan of the 2 of 5 matchups and Gio has a matchup against the Top 3 of Ryan, Chuck, and Ant for scoring then faces Nauch and Erik. These 4 will be doing a lot of shuffling over the next few weeks. However Ant can make this interesting if he bottles up what is the easiest schedule to end the season as 3 of his next 5 matchups are the lowest scoring teams in the league of Bryan, Rob and Nauch.
We are entering prediction central as and I have made our predictions to end the season of records for everyone and did our own bet for a chug. It goes as follows. Record predicted correctly is 5 points, position in standings picked correctly is 3 points, and Winner of Wild Card is 10 points. Now that is out of the way here are our power rankings!
Chucks Power Rankings –
1. Chuck – No surprise here, there is not really much to say about this team as they continue to dominate all around and look great as this team is all but pretty much guaranteed the playoffs.
2. Ant – This teams downfall remains on who to start week in and week out and its worked out well of not mattering who is starting as this team has won 3 of its last 4 with the only loss being to Chuck. Trade deadline next week with some pieces to move and the leagues hatred of Chuck winning. Might be able to get some deals done.
3. Ryan – This team is starting to see some life and if it stays healthy watch out because there are a lot of boom players on this team. It remains to see if Kylar wont give you a heart attack and if we see the breakout of Harrison and if Brian Robinson can remain healthy.
4. Joe – This team has been getting destroyed by the curse but, why this roster isn’t full of big name guys it has a lot of guys that love to go off and now this team has cade Otton who is looking like a league winner guy. This team has a lot to play for and be pissed off with a vengeance after a Tie in the ship to lose and the skid he is currently on. We can see Joe beat the curse allegations this week.
5. Wings – Wings loves to live in the middle of the pact even though the talent on this team is insane, but the injuries are the worst thing as this team always has someone get hurt and miss the remainder of a game or miss multiple weeks. This team can make a move to become a power house, but will the Roto Trade Analyzer help with that decision or not. Who knows.
6. Erik – Erik Erik Erik, you are in your prime time years of fantasy this season and what I mean by that is as Damn you look so good on the outside then they take a closer look and notices that your feet are a size 6 then they get you with your clothes off then they are like Damn that thing is massive, then when you perform, you disappoint half the time. You have some prime pieces and you have some running out of time pieces. Gotta figure out which is which in order to switch up your hopes at a championship run.
7. Gio – Gio back again in the hunt as everyone expected. However, now we get into unfamiliar territory for Gio as yes hes been in the middle but he does not really have his big name roster outside of Lamar and Kelce. So alot of hoping these guys keep performing for him, but Gio has the one big piece some teams are missing and thats a consistent Lamar Jackson. Will Gio sell him off to round out a receiving core, who knows but some teams definitely gotta be hitting him up for him.
8. Rob – ROB CMC IS BACK, TYREEK HAS TUA, DEEBO WR1, SAQUON IS INSANE AND JOE BURROW IS COOKING. Imagine if you had all this at the beginning of the year. Holy shit it would have been wild, but you are getting it in the stretch run of the season and with that Core I just named. You are 156 points behind wild card spot which means you dont have to worry about winning cause you arent getting in that way. YOU GOTTA SCORE high every week and this team can do it. Lets see it ROB show the haters.
9. Nauch – This team took a tough fall from being good, Mixon being the only bright spot on this roster and maybe the resurgence of Deandre hopkins. If you want any shot at winning another game or let alone make a playoff run. Mixon is forsure gonna need to help you get pieces.
10. Bryan – Im sorry you had to come back here, its been a rough season for you, but you expected it. However, I got a fun thing for you. If you somehow make playoffs, Wings has agreed to spend the night in OBlock and Ryan has agreed to go to a Chris Lake show with you so he can learn to shuffle. Make playoffs and those are your gifts.
Ants Power Rankings –
1. Chuck No changes to the top of my rankings. Chuck has been number 1 for most of the year now and its not changing anytime soon. Chuck has built a real powerhouse with his team and has proven he can win in blowouts every week. I said chuck team was boom or bust from the beginning and so far hes BROUGHT THE BOOOOOOM!
2. Ant: Im going to keep putting myself 2 and you cant say anything because I have the 2nd highest PA. Thats how fantasy goes sometimes. But other than that I know mostly what im going to get out of my team week in and week out. I might just make James conner the mascot of this team, it aint much, buts its consistent.
3. Ryan: Ryan has worked his way back into the top 3 on the back of Justin Jefferson. This team has found production from random players on a weekly basis and can continue to do so. Its going to need a guy like Marvin Harrison to finally pick it up this week to reality make his team a competitor. Especially while is in Nuketown 24/7 mode
4. Wings: Wings might have the most sneaky scary team in the league. Aj Brown and Kenneth Walker are a nasty 1-2 punch. Josh Allen is always a real threat. Jameson and Laporta have a chance to catch a bomb every week. This teams ceiling is insane and floor is pretty safe too. At this point its mostly up to staying healthy for the remainder of the year.
5. Joe:The 5- Joe curse has taken full effect in the middle of the year here and Joe needs to find a way to turn it around quickly. The return of Nico Collins might help but without a true WR 1 on this team its been struggling to find its groove. Couple that with Jordan Love coming back down to earth and the feelings that were felt in this locker room this team last month have got to be worrisome. All it takes is 1 – 2 moves to get this cleaned up, but it needs something.
6. Erik: This team is fading fast and the injuries are starting to pile up unfortunately as well; Ceedee hurt, Evan hurts, Cooper hurt, Pittman hurt and ass. Its being carried by King Henry right now and thats not a bad thing but he cant do it all. We will see how this team looks in a few weeks. But right now, its looking rough.
7. Gio: Congrats on the highest points on the year, enjoy it. This team has gotten a small revival by reworking its roster from the beginning of the year. Its also gotten a resurgence from Travis Kelce which might be key for him. Either way this team is still a move or two away from being a true contender. But without that a wildcard spot might be the best chance this team has for a playoff spot.
8. Nauch: This placement here is purely based on the record.The roster is falling apart slowly and is carried by Joe Mixon. Not much to say but its not looking good for the champ as he hangs onto his final spot.
9. Rob: Saquon and Bowers. Thats about it. Maybe Tyreek? Maybe CMC? This team has a huge hole to dig itself out of and if it doesn’t do it this week it might be over.
10. Bryan: I like this team but its going to take a miracle to sneak into playoffs. And I just dont know if this team has a miraculous run in it… prove me wrong.
Ant and I will be doing also our Top Fantasy Scorers at each position of the week from now on just to give some content and maybe change some minds on who to start.
