Gentleman, welcome back to another edition of the blog with your boys Chuck and Ant. Quick one today as we are nearing the midway point to the season. Not really much to touch up on. This was the first week we had bye weeks and Joe continues to remain undefeated. Gio prayed to the fantasy gods but it was not enough as he continues to be in the bottom of the league. Lets dive in.
Chucks Power Rankings –
1. Joe – Continues the dominance for back to back weeks now and this team is putting it into high gear. You had a few unfortunates happen this week though. Nico Collins placed on IR, possibly another couple weeks without Jonathan Taylor as well. Injuries are starting to come to the major stars, however your young guys have been performing, lets see if they can continue to carry the momentum Joe is building chasing his own record of most wins to start the season.
2. Chuck – Back to back Duds and finishing last, however this weeks was do to literally most of the starting lineup being on a bye or hurt for the week. Not to much to worry about. You lost Rashee for the season which was just waiting to be announced as you held out false hope. However, this team is still well balanced everywhere except TE. Swift emergence is huge for another consistent back. Achane gets a bye and one week closer to TUA returning. Team should return to form this week.
3. Erik – Prime Time is here! Yea he had to beat down on a crippled chuck team, but this team is coming into form. The biggest question mark remaining for this team is the performance of Breece Hall. It has been a rough go for Breece and the Jets overall, but now with Saleh out the picture maybe we see a spark. Henry is ageless and Mike Evans continues to be the definition of Consistently fucking good. If Breece can figure it out and you get some consistent play from your Flexes, this team that was raved about from the beginning might be showing its true potential.
4. Ryan – Ryan with a banger of a week on the backs of Jamar Chase and Darnell Mooney. However, this team moves as Jamar JJ and Kylar moves. This team has no consistent running game and Olave and Waddle have been the definition of not consistent or non factors. Maybe we see the return of Mixon eventually but to keep him fresh and not going back to being hurt we might see a drop in touches. This team is fun to watch as the LSU boys are always doing some crazy shit on the field. If the once noted top WR core can figure it out we can see the true definition of fuck a RB.
5. Wings – Welcome back to the top 5, Snuck out a win against Rob and finally announced the IE prodigal son as your starter over Josh Allen. The return of AJ brown, Drake London looking like Take Care Drake and Kenneth Walker involved in the passing game?? This team is starting to come to life and in a scary fashion. Plus Tank Bigsby Rb1 szn? This team is explosive, but for how long? The pieces that are normally not on wings team are going off, maybe this is a sign for Wings to dip into other players. Look out.
6. Ant – A tough loss to Bryan and you fall to 2-3. This team is the definition of all names no performance. Kamara has been the biggest bright spot on this team. Other than that its been inconsistency all around and the worst QB plays so far in the league. Bijan snaps are dropping and Algiers are rising. Cooper Kupp and Aaron jones dying as usual. This has been rough and now you rely on Caleb to take you to the promise land. Big week as you play a hurt undefeated Joe team.
7. Bryan – Bryan is climbing. The 3 TE draft method that was shitted on is working so apologies for not recognizing the game as it is still the most pointless position this year and nobody cares cause that’s why you are not winning games. Having the balls to bench Mahomes, Jayden Reed is a WR1 for the rest of the szn, DJ Moore consistency and your RB performances of Javonte, Jacobs and now Chase brown possibly Rb1 with Zack Moss having a foot injury. This team is the definition of the Grind. good for you Bryan, now you play bottom of the bottom Gio, Can you make it 3 in a row? I think so.
8. Nauch – Another team with so many names and not big performances, however you are the biggest winner heading into week 6 besides possibly me as we see what happens with Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs with Nico Collins gone. Marvin Harrison is the definition of a headache as we know what he can do and how ridiculous he is but why tf is he not getting the ball. However its someone you just have to keep starting. Brian Robinson knee injury waiting to see what happens there and cook dealing with a foot injury and the 49ers boys having 1 good week together. Kittle has been great but can we see them show momentum into tonight? A lot to figure out for this team flex and bench depth wise. as well as WR consistency outside of Diggs.
9. Rob – Brother Rob Tough L this week. Joe Burrow is literally going crazy now. Bowers, Saquon, and Burrow are carrying this team. Tyreek is praying he either gets arrested or Tua comes back soon and Nabers is missing his second straight week in the concussion protocol. Keenan Allen is old and you started Doubs who was suspended last week and announced not playing. You trade Caleb for Zack moss which is a good risk. A lot to figure out here, a trade definitely has to happen sooner rather than later.
10. Gio – ummmm still weird that you are here. Great Week though in your loss against Ryan. However both Etienne and White are losing there jobs right Infront of you, but the resurgence of Kelce and Kirk is nice. Davante Adams is proving to become more of a headache then a key piece. Lots to figure out here.
Ants Power Rankings –
1. Joe: Another week of Cassidy’s on top as Joe continues his dominance at 5-0. Joe will look to continue his streak against me this week with a hobbled team, missing Nico Collins and Kyren Williams. Either way, Joe deserves his flowers for the beginning of the year.
2. Ryan: Ryan has finally made his way to the top behind the strength of Jamaar Chase. Darnell Mooney has looked like a receiver reborn in his time with Atlanta and has more than made up for Chris Olave and Jaylen Waddles struggles. If Ryan can get himself some RB’s the rest of the league should be on notice.
3. Erik: Erik has finally made it into the top 3 and it was only a matter of time. After a rough start to the year, Erik has pulled off easy wins in two straight weeks. Now that he’s riding with Dak its going to be just like his cowboys season. The regular season is going to be fun, but come playoff time does this team have enough to get it done.
4. Chuck: This is the first time Chuck has been outside the top 3 in the league and it comes off his second back to back lowest scoring outputs on the year. I said it to start the year that Chucks team has the biggest range of outcomes in the league based on the gambles he took. When his gambles are paying off he’s a top team, but if something goes wrong, this team can fall in a hurry.
5. Ant: After a heartbreaking loss to Bryan, my team has one thing it needs to address. Its QB. Im taking a gamble on Caleb and hoping it pays off. Partly because I believe in him, and partly because QB inflation is at bidenomics levels.
6. Wings: finally wings is at full strength and trying to work his way back to the top 5. His QB problem is a great problem to have and once LaPorta figures it all out wings is going to be a sneaky strong team.
7. Nauch: While nauch took an L last week he had a solid week all around. Geno is going to keep him in games based on his yards alone and if he can figure out a flex position he can go up against anyone
8. Bryan: Bryan came away with a much needed W and fighting me for the only guy to not have his QB spot figured out. Jayden Reed is going to challenge for draft steal of the year and if he can get this level of consistency from everyone else his team can challenge anyone.
9. Rob: Rob had Joe Burrow break the scoring record last week and still lost. That’s a tough pill to swallow but now with a new RB2 and getting Malik Nabers back Rob has a chance to get a much needed win.
10. Gio: Gio had possibly his best week so far this year but was unlucky in playing Ryan. This team has been carried by Lamar all year and unless Davante comes back soon it might stay that way. Praying to the fantasy gods can only do so much when you’re in last place. Trust me, I know
