Sup Bitches, Specifically Wings and Erik. Since The commissioners report featuring Punjabi Blogger already did their draft rankings and overview, it is my turn 😈 Fresh off the honey moon with a fresh mind, spirit, and fully relaxed. I am able to do these rankings with a clear head. Now lets get after it🤭
These will be done in draft order, not order of grades!
Draft Pick #1 Rob Fadez
Pre Draft – A+ (Best Set of Keepers)
Post Draft – C
Bust – Malik Nabers (5.6)
Sleeper – Ezekiel Elliot (11.1)
Rob, Your draft could have been much much better with what you had left after trading for Tyreek, Saquon and CMC. Your first pick ended up being Malik Nabers and with all the hype around him and raw talent he has, Daniel Jones is still his QB and there is no other weapons on that team to help Nabers get open. Taking Keenan Allen was good as he is old reliable as long as he is healthy. However, the rest of the draft is kinda rough, before filling out your starting lineup you took Caleb when you could have took Najee Harris, Keon Coleman, Zack Moss or Austin Eckler. All players that have great upside in their current situations. Then you take Mike Williams who is injured all the time. Are you just taking old chargers because you feeling nostalgic? You do have some sleepers in Bowers(Monster in college), Legetter and my fav sleeper Zeke. Zeke will not be ran every down, but has the potential to be this years montgomery. Dallas is gonna drive the football as their offense is pretty good and it leaves Zeke to punch it in. He may not run for 1000 yards but he might score 10 TDs. This roster is a giant risk of injuries which can end terribly in the last year of keepers or based on pure raw talent alone with this roster can we a scary one. However, history tells us one of those 3 keepers will be traded for players down the road.
Draft Pick #2 Punjabi Perez
Pre Draft – A
post Draft – B+
Bust(s) – Alvin Kamara (5.2) Cooper Kupp (4.9)
Sleeper – Cooper Kupp (4.9)
Ant, You had a really great draft. You managed to keep Wilson and add on Bijan and Sun God why keeping a good amount of picks. I have Cooper Kupp as your sleeper as well as one of your busts. The reason for sleeper is, when he is healthy hes gonna be WR1 and alot of people forget that. Puka is there yes, however if Kupp is fully healthy and stays that way he will probably finish as WR1 due to the situation he is in. He is also a bust because of that injury risk he provides. Alvin kamara I have as a bust because that offense is gonna be interesting. Due to trying to keep Kamara fresh due to age I see alot more Jamal Williams and Taysum hill involved in goal line and Kamara turning into a 3rd down back. Kamara will get his we all know that, however age is creeping and at 5.2 that is a big risk for a RB2. The rest of your draft stacks out nice, Andrews is a steal in the 6th round as well as WRs depth that can be your best ally with your running back situation being rough. 3 of your 4 bench running backs all have long injury history with a combined one season being fully played but an average of missing 4-5 games a season if not the whole season. Tyjae is your sleeper back due to his receiving ability and speed and with only Pollard to deal with might be interesting for you down the line.
Draft Pick #3 Vice Commissioner
Pre Draft – D+
Post Draft – F
Bust – Trey Mcbride (4.7)
Sleeper – Javonte Willaims (7.10)
Bryan, lets be honest here. You probably could have shipped off Puka for a couple picks and Mahomes for a couple picks as well and even Josh Jacobs. However, in normal Bryan fashion your asking prices were wild for any trade. A 4th round pick for 2 5ths and 6th is what I was offered which is wild lmao. Keeping Puka and Mahomes is okay I guess but Mahomes finishing as QB 8 you probably couldve re got him in the 4th round and took a more important positional player. You had 2 4th round picks and took DJ moore(4.4) and Trey Mcbride (4.7). Dj Moore makes sense, high powered offense, expected to be the guy good pick. Trey Mcbride tho? With James Cook, Kupp, Flowers, London, Waddle , White, Kamara and Diggs on the board? All these players there and you went with the TE. As the focus in that offense, Mcbride was still outscored by everyone last year except for London by 7 points(in that terrible offense) and Kupp by 17 points (Kupp missed 5 games). That pick no matter how he performs unless he is a top 5 fantasy player in overall will be a bust no matter what based off of where you took him. Outside of that the rest of this team is horendous. The only upside pick being Chase Brown, Javonte and Jayden Reed. You better Hope Puka, Jacobs or Mahomes starts hot and gets trade value cause if not, you might as well look forward to next year already.
Draft Pick #4 Ryan the Electrician
Pre Draft – A
Post Draft – B-
Bust – Joe Mixon (5.9)
Sleeper – Devin Singletary (11.4)
Ryan, you have the best starting receiving core in the league by far. Waddle, Olave, JJ and Chase is gross. However, the RB’s are definitely where you lack. Joe Mixon being your Rb1 is tough, because he is in a high powered offense with mouths to feed. Hes not a bang in the lines RB either. He has been good the last 2 years due to his TD ability. The TDs will definitely drop as well as the usuage will be a little less then what he was seeing in Cincy to keep him fresh, however this is a great situation to win a ring, not fantasy wise. Raheem mostert being RB2 will be interesting due to the mouths to feed and the emergence of ACHANE. 18TDS I doubt he even gets half this year tbh. However a good risk in round 9 because of how high scoring that offense is. Singletary is a work horse and has not missed a game since his rookie year. Entering in a sitatuiton for dump offs and essentially playing the Saquon role can lead to him having his best year yet. Hes a solid runner that can pound the inside and has a good catching ability. Warren and Ford typical backups you want that are good runners and then alot of Sleepers at the reciever roles for shitty teams that will throw alot. Then you have the midget when healthy is a top 5 fantasy QB. FANTASY just want to emphasize that.
Draft Pick #5 Marcel 10 West
Pre Draft – C
Post Draft – C
Bust – Travis Etienne (1.5)
Sleeper – Christian Kirk (9.5)
Gio, here we go again, Middle of the pack placement last year from me and middle of the pack placement again. Your team is not great, your team is not terrible. Travis Ettience finish as Rb 3 last year. That probably will not happen again tbh. He had more receptions last year and relied on more due the lack of efficiency from Lawerene playing hurt. Etienne is a good back just not keeper #1 worthy. His value is only worth it is if he finishes top 5, which I doubt in this revamped offense. Davante Adams will have consistency at Qb with Minshew and being comfortable with Oconnel as the backup already, I feel a good bounce back year. You lack in RB badly this year. Rachaad white is a work horse with hardly any competition, but Zamir white is unproven and then you have Gus Edwards and Benson who are both uncertain at all to do anything. You make up at WR though, Godwin is a great start for bounce back year as long as hes healthy he is dangerous. Christian Kirk though is the featured WR in this offense at the moment with having gabe davis and rookie Brian thomas as the other two. The last time Kirk was WR1 in this offense he finished as WR 11 with his best career stats. He has the chance to do so again. You have Kelce which is old Reliable and will dominate his touches. Courtland Sutton, Cooks and Chark have a chance to be solid this year as well. Like I said, right in the middle.
Draft Pick #6 Tenured Orange
Pre Draft – A
Post Draft – B+
Bust – Michael Pittman (4.2)
Sleeper – Najee Harris (9.9)
Erik, you had a great draft, not the best one imo but a great one. We are gonna start with your keepers, Breece Hall, Derrick Henry, and Ceedee Lamb. Fucking Sold Second best set of Keepers by far. Michael Pittman is the pick I have a problem with. He had his best year off of sheer volume, TDS did not go up. His volume was extremely high because who else was there? Richardson was hurt, Zack Moss got hurt, Taylor Hurt, Downs (terrible) and no TE. Now they have Richardson back, Adoni Mitchell drafted, Granson and Taylor back and healthy. Pittman will be solid, but will definitely not be worth the value you drafted him at. You round out your receiving core with Pickens, evans, cooper, addison and Mitchell which is extremely solid for you. Your rbs are light but having Hall and Henry is solid as long as they are heatlhy. Najee is a sleeper this year at that ADP. I get everyone is hyped on Warren cause of the receiving aspect, Najee just ran for 1 thousand yards again, averaged his best yards per carry and scored his most TDS. His receptions are low but in the 9th round to get a guy like this that can also be a great receiving back and is consitent running the football he can easily turn into an Rb2 or Rb1. Warren hurt also is a good factor. Brooks is a wait and see missing the first 4 games due to PUP list but rumored to take over once healthy. Corum is a dog and will be good in LA and with Kyren being a kick and punt returner for some damn reason, Corum might be the steal of the draft if Kyren gets hurt.
Draft Pick #7 Commissioner
Pre Draft – C
Post Draft – C-
Bust – AJ Brown (2.4)
Sleeper – Xavier Worthy (8.9)
Wings, a little dissapointed in you. In our mock draft I predicted you very easily and you leaned towards taking guys you always take and thats a problem. Aj brown finished top 5 whiled dropping 40 receiving yards, but making 18 more grabs with 4 less TDs. He now has Saquon in that backfield, a healthy Goedert, Devonta smith and now Jahan Dotson who has alot of upside. AJ Brown also has an extremely tough schedule and is not considered a matchup proof reciever. Brown is great dont get me wrong, but hes not finishing Top 10 receiver this year. Taking Laporta was expected since Pacheco didnt fall back to you and Laporta is a great pick. Outside of Kelce only TE worth taking before the 5th round. You were the one to take Drake london not a shocker lol. Only people not on your team last year are the rookies pretty much. This roster has holes outside the stars. Worthy is the biggest prize though if he turns out to be Tyreek. Fastest combine time ever and is fast as hell. Mahomes loves the deep ball and thats what got Tyreek his name. Possible gem in worthy. Outside of that, alot to find and fill with the waiver.
Draft Pick #8 Married Chuck
Pre Draft – B
Post Draft – A
Bust – De’von Achane (2.3)
Sleeper(s) – Kyle Pitts (6.1) Tank Dell (6.6)
Chuck, great great draft. Going from 3 keepers to 1 keeper that you traded for is great for a refresh and getting the necessary picks. Lets start with Achane. Achane why yes showed crazy flashes last year and you flipped him to wings based off of pure raw talent, the concern is Mostert and mouths to feed in Miami. We do not know if Achane will get the keys or stay healthy so big risk big reward. Finishing starting roster by early 7th and key bench pieces as well by early 8th was worth the trading but some risks indeed, the biggest being Dell and Pitts. Dell in a situation of being strouds fav target in that crowded offense. Dell getting hurt last year played a factor in Nico Collins being massive, if not for Dell hurt. Dell finishes as a top 10 WR in fantasy last year. That will show this year. Kyle pitts has been one of the biggest headaches since coming in the NFL because of his pure talent alone and not getting used, he finally has a new coach, a good offense, and a QB that loves throwing to its TE. All signs point up for a pitts breakout finally. Other than that, solid bench, Chubb coming back and Diontae Johnson in good situation. I really like my team
Draft Pick #9 Utah Joe
Pre Draft – B
Post Draft – C
Bust – Nico Collins (3.9)
Sleeper – Ladd McConkey (8.10)
Joe, You have 2 great backs if they stay healthy. Both running backs have terrible injury history so its a little rough. You had hardly any picks before trading Gibbs. Then you used those picks to draft a really weird team. Nico Collins at 3.9 is gonna be a bust. He will probably be the third option in this offense at receiver as he was only the main option after Tank Dell dying. Diggs and Dell should command the ball and the fall off of Nico will be horrific. Zay flowers is solid after now cleared of wrong doing and Kincaid will probably be the #1 option in that Bills offense. McConkney is a huge sleeper as he should be playing mostly in the slot and will be Herbys go to target. With no Keenan Allen and Herbert a proven solid QB it puts him in a solid situation. Outside of that it is alot of rookies and high risk high reward players that are not gonna be consistent. From Tie gate to this will be interesting for you.
Draft Pick #10 Frauch
Pre Draft – C
Post Draft – C
Bust – Marvin Harrsion Jr (1.10)
Sleeper – Austin Ekeler (10.1)
Champ, well former champ. Joe is now the champ after his musical chairs win as it was declared by the commish himself. You can keep the trophy and title in champ, but we know who really is in our hearts. Anyways, You did with what you could. Coming off a championship season you kinda just get to ease in and figure things out cause you are the champ no shit talking. This team is the definition of mid. Marvin Harrison is a risk as a first rounder because he has not played and NFL down. If he does not finish as a essentially top 7 receiver he wasnt worth the pick. Pacheco and cook 2 work horses then you have Diggs who will get his but as a 3rd receiver behinf Aiyuk. You should be fine. Ekeler is sneaky though, hes a great receiving back and will start in 2 back sets and Daniels dumping the ball off. Ekeler can easily sneak into the RB2 conversation very quickly and that will piss off Gio. Your bench is very boom or bust do to age, play time and injury risk overall. Nothing much to say here just good luck.
These are your draft grades yall. Season starts thursday. Good luck and remember as always. Fuck Erik.
