Welcome boys! After a hard fought battle by Nauch in the finals that landed him in the LOD infirmary, he is our new “Champ” only a Frauch Ties in a title game and wins it. Now that everyone is in the Discord and going. We hit you with our first predictions of the season! Ima keep it short and sweet and let Ant get in here so here is mine!
Title Winner:
Well after looking at potential keepers this year, draft picks, past drafts, and who truly has that dog him. My title prediction this year to win is fucking me. Yall in for it this season that is all I will say. However, a close second I would definitely say watch out for Ryan this year. Ryans WR duo possibly trio is insane for this year. It might be the year of the WR. I understand Ant has 1000 draft picks, Rob has drafpicks and now what we believe to be 3 keepers with those picks and Erik having 3 4ths. I do think the talent that Ryan already posses can prevail.
MVP on the year:
Well my fantasy MVP on the year can come down to many different options. Many would think a QB with no QB changing in scoring. Running backs find themselves in nice situations this year as well. However, I am sticking on the WR trend this year. My MVP for this season for WR is the one the only Davante Adams. Davante Adams should have probably one of the best seasons of his career this year in my opinion in a pass happy offense, a happy locker room and best of a all, a QB that can actually throw a football.
Recond Predictions:
My record predictions this year are just based off of trends, picks, draft and just pure fantasy skill.
1. Rob 11-3: I think Rob turns it around this year and shows what he can do with his swag team. my bold prediction for Rob is that he will win 8 of his first 9 games.
2. Chuck: 10-4: Chuck has picks finally, Bijan Robinson and now a no trade limit. Welcome to hell
3. Erik: 10-4: Yea thats right 3 double digit winners this year is my prediciton. Eriks picks and keepers alone can make this happen.
4. Ryan: 8-6: Ryan always stays middle of the pact and will continue the same pace but on the good side and slide in as the 4th seed.
5. Wings: 7-7: Wings has solid keepers but usually trusts the wrong ones. Give up on Josh allen man..
6. Gio: 7-7: Will finish here because of Adams MVP prediction however will not make the playoffs for initiating the no keeper rule and with the rule of highest PF winning 6 seed still here.
7. Ant 6-8: Ant always gets fucked on matchups or injuries. I think he will have really bad weeks and really crazy weeks giving him a top 4 PF but bottom 5 record to make playoffs.
8. Joe: 5-9: Joes keepers are nice, however Taylor health, Kyren Health and Gibbs time is all question especially with sophmore slumps for the 2. I think joe will do what he always does. Start the year 3-0 then go 2 – 7 to end the season.
9. Nauch: 5-9: Nauch’s no pick strategy cant work no more cause no longer trading future picks for players to have like he did last year is not an option anymore. If he goes into this draft with no picks. CMC madden curse, hes doomed to finish here.
10. Bryan: 4-10: Bryan I did not want to put you here tbh but I had no choice. Some decisions have been questionable, and lets face it this will fuel your fire seeing you at the bottom and Rob at the top.
FAAB Budget:
The new waiver wire system is going to be fun. Now its either put up or shut up on how bad you want a keeper with this budget. This is going to get really interesting on who pays what for certain waiver additions. However, my pick for wasting all their money first will be ROB FADEZ. Rob is gonna find someone with crazy swag(Prob OBJ starting hot) then just pay for him and say fuck it. Lets get Ant in here now for his!
Ant –
Welcome back gents and he/hims. First and foremost, congratulations to Ignacio Valencia on his first LOD trophy and what is the wildest finish ive ever been in a part of in my fantasy football career. Going the #fuckthempicks route finally paid off and well see if the strategy can keep you a competitor going into our final keeper year. With that being said, you will be hearing about my disappointment in us moving away from the keeper league setup throughout the entirety of the season. Dont like it, get your own blog.
The other huge change going into this year is obviously the move over to a discord server for all our league data, watch parties, and shit talking. A huge thank you to Chuck and Wings for taking the time and effort to make this a integral part of the league. If you know me, im a notorious old man/ discord hater. But I think the possibilities are amazing if we take the time to utilize Discord for this league. Take a look around “the cord” and check out all the cool things the boys have added. With all that being said, here are my predictions on the year
Title Winner:
In our final keeper season(boo) we decided to implement two huge rules. One, no more draft picks and two, last place punishment. This will take away any possibility of someone going full tank mode on the year and should make for one of the most competitive seasons in our history. To me, Joe has the strongest keeper core at the time of this writing, I have the strongest draft pick stock, and the safest place in the middle of the two is Erik. But thats the beauty of fantasy football, none of that fucking matters. If I had to go with my gut on whos walking away at the end of the year with their name on the front of that trophy, it is without a doubt, in my unbiased opinion, completely looking at all the data, taking into account all factors, and just going with my what my sources are telling me is… me, the tank commander is BACK.
MVP on the year:
This spot comes down to a few different factors. Most points scored, most points scored when it matters, ADP – final ranking, durability, and simply keeping someone’s team relevant. Unless CMC, Cedee, Tyreek, etc. really blows the rest of the guys out of the water, its going to be hard for them to be my MVP. Also, thats just not fun. Of course, I would love to put Caleb “cutiepie” Williams in this spot, but that would be biased. If I had to go with my gut on who will be this years League of Degenerates MVP, it is without a doubt, in my unbiased opinion, completely looking at all the data, taking into account all factors, and just going with my what my sources are telling me is… Joe “slim shady” Burrow. He will vastly outperform his ADP and jump back into the top 3 QB conversation while also carrying one of our teams to the fantasy playoffs.
Record Predictions:
This record prediction is based on nothing but just a complete dart throw. We will see how it ends up at the end of the season. A few shockers here but lets see how this goeeeeees (IYKYK)
1. Erik (10 -4) strong beginning of the season. All depends on waiver usage
2. Joe (9-5) strongest keepers and biggest chip on his shoulder
3. Ant (8 – 6) Biggest range of outcomes depending on team health and starting the right guy.
4. Wings ( 8-6) Solid keepers, and Josh Allen will always get him enough points to keep it close
5. Rob (7-7) hes always going to be around this spot, it always is just up to how active he is in season
6. Ryan (7-7) solid keepers, very active on waivers, depends on how Jettas and Chase carry this team.
7. Chuck (7-7) now has solid draft positioning, will find one waiver gem, will also miss on 25 but well only hear about the one.
8. Bryan ( 6-8) decent draft pick leverage, Mahomes can only do so much for this team.
9. Nauch (6-8) CMC will always be CMC but after that, can there be guys found in the later rounds to fill up the rest of the roster.
10. Gio (5-10) Dynasty over, ran from the grind, WASHED
FAAB Budget
This is going to be a fun addition to the league and will even out the playing field and leave it up to strategy. Blow your budget early and find a Kyren or Puka. or waste it on a backup RB that will average 5 touches a game. Its all on you. With that being said I think the first person who will blow their budget out of the water is Nauch. With the smallest draft capital he will need to rely on finding gems on the waiver wire early in the season. Because of this, Nauch will need to hit on a few early guys or risk over paying for guys often to try and keep in the trophy in his hands.
Everything written here is a direct reflection of absolutely nothing and should be taken with all of your feelings fully invested. Only a few more weeks ladies, lets make this another memorable LOD season and may the odds be eva in your favor.
