People have begun to declare their support for which team they want to win their Super Bowl, and this league is no different. As I see it now, here are where the league group chat lies for the next two weeks:
| Patriots | Rams | ??? |
|---|---|---|
| Hurtado (Pats Fan) | Nauch (Liked the Rams even with Jeff Fisher as the head coach) | Wings (Abandoned the Rams for Nick’s Big Dick) |
| Chuck (Boston fan born and raised in the IE) | Gio (Rams fan since week 1 MNF) | Ashton Day (Doesn’t matter, I still love him) |
| Ant (Hates the Refs, wishes Brees was as accomplished as Brady) | Weege (Hates Football/ Life in General) | Roberto (Support the Pats who anally destroyed you or support your LA “Rival”) |
| Joe (Steelers Fan but has no faith in Malibu’s most wanted) | Erik (Part-time Saints Fan but still hates the Pats) | Baldo (MIA) |
Now, why have I left my name under ??? when it’s pretty clear I am a Patriots “hater”? Well, gents, let me tell you a story that some of you don’t know… and some of you know all too well. Lets throw it back to 360 days ago.
January 29th 2018:
On this fateful day, I posted the below facebook status: (TL;DR– Every team I have supported to win the Super Bowl has lost for the last 6 years, so I decided to support the Patriots against BDN and my own morals…..)

Crazy right? The Pats looked unstoppable and the Eagles were on an impossible run, there’s no way this will work, they said. Some doubted me, some even mocked me:

I knew full well that if this backfired on me, if that, for the one time I supported the Patriots, they won. I would never hear the end of it. It was a very calculated risk that I was willing to take, especially with the alternative being extreme shitposting from Chuck and Hurtado about GOATs and Dynasties. Now we fast forward a week….
February 4, 2018:

Gameday, after a week of gassing up my newly bandwagoned team, it was time. Erik and Chuck can attest that I fully supported the Pats through the entire game along with Hurtado, we were Pats nation for that glorious day…..

What a great Super Bowl it was. As soon as time expired, and there were no flags left to bail the Pats out and the copious amounts of alcohol I consumed had worked its way through my system, I felt a surge of joy that I assume is the same feeling you have when your favorite football team wins the Super Bowl, I wouldn’t know. Regardless, I was on cloud 9 that night.
January 24th, 2019:
In the aftermath of one of my greatest sports-related accomplishments in life (aside from making the golf team in high school), I have tried to use this power in different sports, with attempts to jinx the Sox to no avail (sorry Dodgers fans even my powers cannot overcome that team’s ability to choke in the postseason). But now, I realized that those jinxes didn’t work because, simply put, there’s no other sports franchise out there that I truly despise and hate, there’s no other team that can channel so much negative energy out of me that I can use it against them.
But now, here we are, one year later, in the exact same fucking scenario. The Pats are #StillHere? Well guess what, I’m still here too motherfuckers. Therefore, I have decided to make the below statement to you all, please read this as my public declaration:
“Nauch, Gio, and the other lifelong and bandwagon Rams fans and Pats haters reading this blog. I apologize that you are losing support for your cause so quickly. As a regular season-long Rams fan myself, I wished nothing but the best for them. But, after the events of the AFC Championship game, it is obvious that the Rams are an illegitimate Super Bowl team, they are a bastard born out of fornication between the NFL and its Officiating Crew in a blatant display of disrespect towards the game of football that unites us all.
I am a football guy, my love for the game comes before any team loyalties or disloyalties. The Shield is compromising the integrity of this game through its horrible refball to conveniently get the LA market into the Super Bowl. I cannot stand for this, the Rams winning means a permanent stain on the game of football. Therefore, it is my solemn duty as a sports fan to fully support and endorse the Patriots to win Super Bowl 43. May Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback of all time, again make the NFL and Roger Goodevill pay for their sins and destroy the Rams. May Boston continue to prove their dominance over the cancerous LA sports market. I want to make clear that this is the primary reason I am supporting the Pats, as I know that my support for them is the only thing that can save the Super Bowl from having the wrong outcome. GO PATS!”
